PDX PopNow 2007 : This was the 4th annual PDX PopNow music festival in Portland at AudioCinema. 3 days (8/3-8/5) and about 50 local bands. I heard about half of the band and I must say that I was impressed with the quality and variety of the program. The crowds were always great, very hipster heavy, but all ages and styles of folk were present. Portland has something going on and so far I like what I hear (and see).

Amanda Palmer and Estradasphere : This was an amazing performance given by Amanda Palmer (of the Dresden Dolls) and Estradasphere (recently relocated from CA) in Seattle. Estradasphere opened up their home for the concert. Sitting on the floor watching all preform was amazing. "Tight" and "chill" would be the words of the evening. Everybody rocked, just an amazing performance. Date: Saturday, October 27. 2007 (some pictures might change a bit as I practice the magic of RAW processing).

Water Follies 2008 : The Water Follies are an annual boat race in the Tri-cities. It's a pretty big deal around here, tones of people lined on the banks of the Columbia River. Think NASCAR on the water. If you live here for during a summer you should go at least once. For myself I was happy to take pictures of the boats (with my Vivitar Series 1 v.3 70-210 mm with attached Pentax A 1.7X TC)and all the people getting trashed.
