Palouse Falls is a formation left over from the Ice Age Floods. You drive through some very dramatic landscape and farmland for about an hour from Tri-cities, turn off a secondary road and discover this sight as you leave the parking lot. If head should from the fenced off overlook you'll see an access point for the trail than heads along the lower rim. If you have the stomach for it the trip is worth it.
